<p>Here in Deschutes County a planning Commission slot slated for a southern county resident and identified by the applicant residing in particular townships was given to a Bend resident who was asked to apply by a County Commisioner. Three applicants from the townships identified in the appication were passed over and the Bend resident was placed on the commission. The townships were rural and coverd the new city of LaPine. The selection of an individual who is not familiar or impacted by rural issues is a tremendous dissapointment and further devides urban and rural interface in the County. Does ripple have any resources, contacts available to contest an appointment that is so innapropriate or questionable?
