Trail Improvements at Gerdemann Botanical Gardens

The enhancements to Gerdemann Botanical Gardens will create a safe and desirable place for disabled community members and visitors to get outdoors with their families and friends – out of the wind. It will increase access to this world-class botanical wonder and expand the desirability of South Lincoln County for tourism and commerce. Trail improvement at Gerdemann Botanical Gardens will result in increased community involvement, increased opportunity for disabled and inter-generational activities, and greater awareness of the importance of open space. People with disabilities can access the garden. Raise public image of garden, raise disability awareness, opportunity for regional cohesiveness, and education on botany for K-12, college and beyond. The trail improvements at Gerdemann Botanical Gardens will increase the enjoyment and appreciation by residents and visitors alike of both the Gerdemann Botanical Gardens and the natural environment in general, and bring benefits to the local economy.
